flea market finds - week 2

This week's Flea Market table has
a plethora
Buddha bellies to rub,
a crucifix with a very Eastern air to it
some fish
a few roosters
a ram
a horse
praying hands
a rabbit or two
a crystal ball!

I keep thinking
how long it must take
 to box those up
to tote them to market
 then box 'em back
to tote home again
it exhausted me!

  1. Still up sewing:)
Hate to think of dusting and cleaning each of them..that really makes me tired!

  2. Just one Buddha for my front walkway would be perfect. Love this shot! Love the bellies!!

  3. Hmmm! not sure Daryl, but I just might have had to save them the trouble of taking that crystal ball home, come on who doesn't love a crystal ball!!

  4. Great photo. I'm with you, I'm afraid that I would be just too lazy to deal with it.

  5. Ooooh I've gone all hyper now looking at all those goodies - I want them all!!!

  6. I love the Buddhas. I have a few but I'd have fun going through that collection to find one more.
I thought of you last night. HGTV had a special about a company that prepares the big holiday store displays in NYC. What a sight it must be, being in New York this time of year.

  7. a bevy of Buddhas!!
see, this is why it is good I do not go to these..'cause I would have bought that crucifix.
and the bunny. hey little bunny....

  8. I am a Buddhist. But I don't pray to a Buddha statue. I am a Nichiren Daishonin Buddhist and I chant to the Gohonzon - a scroll depiction of my inner life. Wonderful post. Cheers!!

  9. the incense burner you signed is my pick. you always find the best of the market..

  10. riot of stuff!

    Aloha from Honolulu

    Comfort Spiral

  11. I could have used that crystal ball this weekend. Gah!

  12. Agree with Deborah..dusting. Gah.

And you...boxing & carrying. I hope the sales are worth it :)

  13. I agree with several of your commenters! There'd have been less to have taken home had I been there. Good thing I wasn't, I guess. Like someone said, 'too much dust'/

  14. Look at all those cool Buddhas! I lik the hands and the fish too.
