I didnt go into the park

just

quick look 

and 

then back 

because 

I wasnt dressed 

for the 

damp 

cool air

I saw 

standing 

on 

Riverside Drive 

looking 

into 

the 

park

 the open area that serves as a lawn for sitting in the sun is now a small lake

 tree branches litter the sidewalks along the park and its benches

 joggers anxious from days indoors are out exercising

 dogs are being walked

and 

these 

three people 

were 

looking 

for 

something

no idea what
