Parking in NYC is never easy ...
but
the owner of this Smart Car sure had no problem
squeezing in

  1. I hope nobody scrunches up too close from the rear and scratches of that find dedelstein finish.

  2. Cute little thing, isn't it? I need one, parking is at a premium here, too. But where would the hub and dogs ride?

  3. That's one of the bonuses of owning a small car. :)

  4. Cutest little cars and when we were in Italy one was in the middle of the street with no owner around so some men just picked it up and placed it onto the side of the road:-)

  5. I'd have to squeeze in just to get into the car. Cute, though. Don't think I'd want to take it on the highway.

  6. Haha - those cars may be smart but they sure look stupid. Plus, they're absolute death traps!

  7. that Lexus SUV is gonna cream him when he tries to get out of there

I got boxed in recently, took me forever to rock the car back and forth to get out - nearby construction crew applauded me

  8. I remember the first time I saw a Smart car...on the streets in London. It was such a novelty, I had my picture taken next to it.

  9. it's got to be fun having a car like this and probably never having to worry about parking.

  10. We first saw Smart Cars in Paris. And they seemed to get around very well. I think it would be smart, if you were to own a car in NYC, to get a Smart Car!

Not so good in Oala, though, although we have a few around. Big pickups tend to eat them!

  13. I'd love a Smart Car but the gas guzzling tankers around here would make short work of it.

  14. I wonder if it's legal to pull striaght into the curb in one of these?

  15. I've seen quite a few of those on the streets recently. I wonder what the particulars are - price, fuel economy, insurance rates, etc.? I guess I could go look them up...

By the way, just back from vacation a couple of days ago, so a trip report has been posted (and a subsequent chapter, and there will be more...) Hope all is well!

  16. Those cars look like they should flip backward. Not at all balanced - and, yup, this time I see your signature.

  17. There's a smart car dealer behind my house. The kids and I have discussed picking one up and moving it. Wouldn't that be fun?

  18. They have those all over Brighton where my sister lives as parking is a nightmare there too. I can't imagine fitting my two monkeys in there though, and I can't help thinking if anything bashed into them they'd crumple like a carton of milk or something.
