I refuse to believe that summer is over. It's merely taking a break...Great shot.
A sad happy time redolent of mortality...some escapists move to the sunAloha from Waikiki Comfort Spiral
September is often a lovely month! Love that shot - so wistful.
Great end of summer photo!
The school year may have started but after how much I schvitzed on the walk over and back this morning summer is definitely NOT over - it is hot hot hot here! We've got at least two more months of beachgoing yet, if not more :).-----------------------------------My photography is available for purchase - visit Around the Island Photography and bring home something beautiful today!
Aack, hit reply too quickly. Stupid overanxious trigger finger...I really like this shot, the character of the beach with the fence and the grasses is so different from ours. I forget that sometimes, how different different beaches truly are.
Funny, I've noticed that here in the last few years, as soon as the calendar hits Sept.1st, the weather really does change. A refreshment from the heat. I can feel the sand from your photo between my toes.
Summer may end for some but I follow the warmth of the summer sun and keep it in my heart 365 days a year. Enjoy LD weekend.
Love this shot, wish I was there!Have a great relaxing weekend!
If I could, I would glance over at Summer as she is leaving, and say,"Honey, don't let the doorknob hit you in the ass on your way out the door!"Bring on Fall!
Enjoy your weekend and the beach, if you're going. It's fall-like weather here today, almost cold, but I'm not complaining.
Looks like the end of the world, not just the end of summer...poignant shot.
Beautiful!Bye bye, summer. :(
Ah, this makes me wish I was at the beach! It's refreshingly cool here in Maryland today, but really sunny. Big Labor Day picnic in our neighborhood later.
sigh, and alas! beautiful picture though, xxo
I long to dip my toes in the Gulf surf and walk along the powdery white, sandy beaches. They are some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and most folks don't even know it.V
It's perfect here in Maryland today. I've been practicing the art of doing nothing. It's great.
it certainly has been a very long hot Summer!
I hope you're out there on the beach having a fantastic Labor Day weekend! Kick some sand for me!
Perfect photo for the end of summer, pleasantly melancholy. Makes me long for the beach.
Here it marks the end of mid-season rates at hotels at the beach, but summer won't even begin to end for another few weeks yet.
Does it have to end!Beautiful photo. :)
