  2. It is well-established that I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but it was only about a month ago that I realized that Lady Liberty was originally copper-colored and only turned green when she oxidized.

Perhaps she should be uprooted and sent to Arizona, so that lawmakers there can read the inscription at her base.

Anyways, a very happy 4th to you, my friend! :-)

  3. I LOVE all the red, white, and blue on the blogs today. Let's hear it for freedom...everywhere in the world! What a different world it would then be. Have a safe and happy fourth!

  10. This is soooo beautiful, Daryl! And so sad, too, what with the corporatists basically ruling the country at the expense of the people...cf. The New York Times article on oil subsidies and Time magazine's article on lobbyists and corporations.

  15. Hmm... Shay might be onto something. Perhaps the Lady of the Lamp should be given some anti-oxidants.

I know! We'll start The Green Tea Party! Yeah!
