  1. I actually kinda like baseball season; it reminds me that the good weather is here or near (depending on which part of the country ya live in). Baseball is one of those sports where I get bored watching on tv but have always loved playing it or watching in the stands.

  7. Heathen!

Baseball is a game for those who think.

Football pretends it is, but it's just a whole bunch of fat guys walloping each other while skinny guys run down the field and, if they happen to catch a ball, do a silly dance. Meanwhile, every coach in the game draws up overly complex game plans that justify their salaries (which no one in management complains about because they don't understand the damn strategies the coach is bamboozling them with any more than the other 31 owners do.)

It is the most overhyped scam in the history of sports, even more so than professional wrestling.

That's not to say I don't enjoy it. I do. But, damn, you insulted baseball!

    Heathen!

  15. Baseball is an atmospheric. It's like a babbling brook or waves lapping at a beach: I watch it a little, sometimes, but I'd miss the sound of it if it weren't there.

  16. I watched baseball last night on TV, something I never do. I did it because the person I was with is addicted to the S.F. Giants. He does so much for me, it was the least I could do.

wv: ozinguad. The Swedish word for doing something you wouldn't ordinarily do for the sake of a dear friend is called ozinguad. It makes you feel good inside.
