Awesome! The water tower kind of reminds me of the pointer on the meter I see through the viewfinder. I like how it peeks over the edge like Kilroy.
Your sky is gorgeous. I love the big puffy clouds and the corners of the buildings plus the water tower. Works out so well.
Love those puffy clouds, Daryl! Great composition and capture for the day. Hope you have a great weekend! Enjoy!Sylvia
Wonderful clouds in your sky.
I've been doing some sky watching lately. And when I do I think of you! Another wonderful shot!<><
Everywhere, those water towers. Marvels of engineering and subtle sometimes. Love your shots.
I like the contrast of the soft-looking clouds and the hard angles of the buildings. I bet that was a beautiful spring day!
I always go for big, puffy clouds like the shown here.
big fluffy clouds against the blue sky! :)

Thanks for stopping by...and thanks for a local perspective on New York City. Definitely somewhere I'm planning on visiting one day. Althea
and what a sky it is...gorgeous...
Nicely done, Daryl. I always get a kick out of those water towers in the midst of the Big Apple! And it's set off nicely by that cotton-candy sky!
Great shot.Sydney - City and Suburbs
I love that I actually know where this is. And after reading Pete Hamill's 'Forever', it gives a whole new meaning to the water tower. There was a time when the city had no fresh water. People were filthy. And then came the cholera epidemic.
At first I thought that water tower looked much like the one that looks like it belongs on a farm, and quite honestly it may well be the same one. But from this perspective I see a pyramid (if you include the structures beneath it), with the water tower the pinnacle.Love all the lines, squares, and rectangles of the manmade world and how the sky with its soft circular clouds offsets it so well.wv: ductowns. Ductowns is Donald Duck's spin-off of Disneyland. He and Mickey had a feud so he ventured out on his own. Daisy accompanied him, and they've set up a lovely place right next to Dollywood.
Amsterdam avenue towards north did give you an exciting looking sky to shoot!Nicely done!Pixellicious Photos
