That is quite a shot. I have memories of the Staten Island Ferry, many, many years ago. I lived on LI and we would be going to visit my family in PA. Believe me, the building didn't look like this then.
I love this place and took a couple of night shots last summer. My great aunt Mildred used to live on Staten Island and commuted to Manhattan every day.
so like the angle to this capture.i have heard stories about staten island from a friend at work who came from ny and now resides here in the valley of heck.have a wonderful friday. today is my last day of work for a while...yippeee!
Good shot, Daryl. I love your signposts. They are so different from mine here in the country.
The "s"es catch my eye, and I love the colors. And of course all the lines. Lots of lines.
you really captured how vast it seems as you approach it!wonderful composition
On that years and years ago. Neat angle.
neaty cool shot Daryl!<><
That's been a looong time for me....great shot! How's my kitten?
I love the shot.. I love the dedelstein even more. ;)
She's here! She's there! 'dedelstein' is EVERYWHERE, in this case hiding perpendicularly on the glass façade of the ferry building...
I so want to ride on that ferry!
Is a "StatenIslandFer" anything like a conifer?
Ok, I have to go on that ferry next time I come to visit you in NY.
This is a very attractive place...you know, for a ferry.Hope you have a good weekend!
I love the dual horizons in this photo.
Love that you threw in a couple of subway entrances over the past couple of days :-)
The colors in this photo are BEAUTIFUL!! Unfortunately, you are probably one of few who would notice:(
Never seen the StatenIslandFer..but that's a great shot of it!
