I love weathered wood like this.I also enjoyed your story about the wolf moon. & your last photo made me laugh out loud.
Oh love this. The textures, shadow and curve is wonderful.
Very nice, Daryl! Those comfortably-worn benches look most inviting...No sign of "dedelstein" today? ;-)
All the colors you captured in this photo are beautiful.Hope your week is good.jj
Looks like a nice place to while away an hour or two. Especially under that wonderful sunlight!
I really like this one, great shot
I too love weathered wood, but learned early on not to slide along a bench like this.
Love the big slide into the curve here. A few splinters in the bum, I suspect!
The wooden benches are delightful
All I can think about is all the splinters in there. I am such an old lady....
And it's real wood, too. I hope the city has an anti-splinter brigade. Most of our benches and such have been replaced with the artificial stuff.
Nice perspective. Looks like a fun collaboration =)
Look at all the lines, squares and rectangles. Great lines and shapes, it's almost hypnotic.
Fantastic weathered wood; I agree with Chesapeake Bay Woman that it's hypnotic.
Perfect shot, on the curve.Have I mentioned how much I love your header?
I love the curve!
I love the composition of this photo, it's very fluid. Nice job.
That looks like somewhere I would like to sit and read. :)I see it's still snowing on your blog. :)
I love the way cities invest in public recreation. It must be wonderful to walk along the waterfront and sit on those substantial benches. It's a great choice for Theme Day.
It looks like a nice place to sit and take in the views.
Very nice header...it is so heartsy (is that a word) and appropriate for the Valentines holiday.
Great shot of the wood. Well done!
I'm always amaze at the beautiful parks in NYI think the part in the photo is at Robert Wagner Junior Park instead of Battery Park but I can't be sure since they are connected
I feel cold just imagining being there! That said, I enjoyed the wolf-moon story.xo
this sounds silly, but l just love public seating....l can sit, and watch and watch and drink in the rush and the bustle....saz x
I like the way this photo grabs your eye and pulls you right around the corner!Reminds me a bit of Lake Sumter Landing...I do like the wooden boardwalks, and pilings and piers! Excellent theme post!
Love the curves, textures and shadows of these inviting benches along the boardwalk ... nifty shot!Hugs and blessings,
mmmm, you were lucky, no people - it's a really interesting photo - loved your saga of trying to take photos of the wolf moon - made me laugh so hard xxo
So that's what Battery Park looks like. Very nice!
Aaaah - harbor.... I like it!
It's sunny and it looks like a grand place to stop and enjoy!V
Great lines and textures.
I imagine this is a great place to stop at any time of year. I crave that sunshine and water!
I swear, I am losing my mind. I thought the post title was "city dirty photo theme: wood".Oy. I am so sorry.
and the boats go up and down....
Oh! Mee LIKEY! Love the textures in this one D. Amazin'!
I love wood that's seen the elements for some time, weathered and seasoned. Even in the cold, it looks warm (barring it being covered in snow, of course.)
I LOVE benches Daryl....so this is one of my favorites!!
