second generation

When I was in high school, I had a classmate and friend named Margie.  She was funny, smart and talented.  We lost touch after high school, I lived in the Bronx, she lived in Manhattan; back then that was a big difference .. the Bronx was considered GUD ..Geographically UnDesirable ..

Fast forward to the not long ago,  we re-connected via Facebook.  I learned Margie had married a handsome Ad man, moved to New Joisey and had two lovely daughters.  One of whom is blogging ... she doesnt blog every day but when she does her posts are fun, her photos (and prose) are very enjoyable.

So .. go on check her out.. go visit MissMoll at Wandering and Pondering, you wont be disappointed.

  3. I'm so glad you and Margie reconnected on Facebook...I've found a couple of high school friends there, too! Between Facebook and blogs, the world is a much smaller place.

And just so you know? I like--and always have liked--geographically undesirable people. They're some of the best people EVER. :)

  4. I am not really impressed with Facebook but the part about finding people is very impressive. I now have a contact too with some of the old classmates. As a retired teacher I have all these people too that want to tag along, so I have more than I want to handle.

  6. Isn't it wonderful reconnecting with old friends?

My children's father is from Bergen County/Cresskill, so I spent many holidays there when we were married. The Joisey towns are quaint, they have lots of character. And you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a good bagel or piece of pizza.

  11. I've reconnected with people, too, mostly because of intense internet seaching, not through Facebook (no account). I have just found a former colleague I worked in France with 30 years ago!

Cute little dog you've shown. Fluffball.
