  2. So, are you a real New Yorker then? And BTW, absolutely agreed with your take on my post. Our focus is ALL off kilter!

  3. Now, I always associate papaya with Californians. A rather startling idea that it's what makes a New Yorker.

  4. Yep, the name is sort of deceiving to me...especially if they specialize in hot dogs. And, that is NO BULL!!

  5. I wonder if the pain from this recession will ever end? I think not!

  6. Heh. I wonder how often a hot dog stand gets featured in Gourmet Magazine. Well, obviously never now that it's defunct, but I wonder how many did.

  7. What a great sign. I assume this means that you are attached too Gray's Papaya? Will this be on the list of places to visit in February?

That was really shocking to me about Gourmet magazine.

  8. Papaya was a staple in So CA! I love how you angle your pictures like that.

My silly stuff? Clip art that I steal then paste my freeloading kidlets into them...no talent involved!

Thank you for the snow widget!!!

  9. Not being a New Yorker, I'm not sure what you're talking about...except you must be referring to a restaurant of some not...

I dislike seeing an old-time magazine bite the dust.

Maybe there are no more "gourmets" left in NYC. Well, with the exception of yourself, of course.

  12. Gray's Papaya. Sounds YUMMY.

I'm so out of the loop I didn't even know Gourmet went under.

  16. I want a hot dog right now from Grays Papaya. You know every time I see any Grays papaya I think of Regis as he would always talk about it on his show. The closest I have here is Cosco but hey close but no cigar! Not even close but I am desperate. Thank heavens I can get Nathans here.
