  1. I have 2 birdhouses in my yard that look just like this one. I love them and so do the birds that come & make their nests in them every spring. It always amazes me when I see they can fit a family in such a tiny space(much like many people in Manhattan do)!
I love your parents pictures. they look like a couple of dear hearts to me. They have such nice smiles.

  3. Even in the city, the bird have to find a home too. I'm sure they are happy in such a mighty tree.

  4. Neat photo! I love the colors in this photo. That birdhouse looks so perfect there, like it was grown there in that tree.

Happy WW from Sara @ the Mostly Wordless Wednesday H.Q.!

    Well, it's a house in a tree yes? :)

  7. I wonder who took the time to put the birdhouse in the tree? I wonder if it is someone whose window looks out on the tree. Great of you to notice it there.

  8. That looks like my nesting boxes although my small ones are white. I do have a large one that's natural wood. Cool shot.

  9. I have the same question as MPM! For some reason the little house looks sad and abandoned to me. Love the shot though!

  11. Urban renewal. Urban decay. Abandoned housing. It's all good.

  12. Makes me wonder how long the little bird house has nested there...

I used to have a few bird houses but the damn squirrels took them out.

  15. So very well composed...love the way the branches reach out as if welcoming the birds with open arms...

Coincidentally, we just go home from Cedar Key and the first thing I had to do was refill the bird feeders...the little rascals had cleaned it out while we were gone!

Is this bird house being rented at the moment?

  17. I just love birdhouses! We have some that get used every year and it is so much fun to clean them out and see what was used for making them. Then - when the babies are being fed...so delightful.

  19. Actually Daryl, that isn't an avatar - it's a picture of our dog taken just three days before we had to put her down.

  20. Now I want a treehouse. I really do.

Maybe my little baby bird family should get a mortgage since rates are low.

  21. Is that birdhouse rent-controlled...?
