waiting, impatiently

Usually the pups I shoot
are sitting anxiously
awaiting the return of their person/people.

This time
I didn't see the waiting part
but I was there when
this lucky dog was greeted by his person
with a hug and got a lick in return
after waiting

  1. they may wait impatiently for us to return, but we wait impatiently for the reunion too! nothin' better than a big, wet, slobbery kiss after time apart!

  2. You've really captured the moment - the pleasure, the joy owner and dog have in greeting each other.

  10. I see this reaction from Teas every
time her man-person walks in the room... I walk in and it is to a snarl and showing of teeth when
"her Bob" is in the room. The rest of the time it is "oh ..it's you.. feed me"

  19. Oh, my gosh!!

I love this series of yours. This is just priceless.

We got home at 1 am. I think I wanted to kill my husband for deciding to drive straight through.

No wait. I did want to kill him.

But it's good to be home. Despite having to park at the end of the driveway and walking the last 1/3 mile home. A tree had come down during (yet another) rain storm.

  22. SO cute!

I made two new doggy friends on my mail route today. One man said, "he usually barks. you must be a very calming presence." What a nice thing to hear!

  28. What a sport! And judging from the teeth, that guy's only about 12-16 weeks old. He's doing that well already? He'll be a good one!
