This is a lovely, warm view of the city, Daryl. So very inviting.
It looks like such a calm & quiet morning! Is this the same area that is now closed off to vehicles?
I guess we had to trade the blue skies for some foliage. Still just doesn't seem fair. Beautiful, tho;)
and if you took that photo today...would it be a wet day?
Terrific shot!!Great angle and want to visit NY even more after seen your shot ;)Have a great weekend :)Anna
I like the bare trees. They make me think of coolness. Since I've been back home (2-1/2 days),it's been hot. Apparently not so until I got here.
I love it in the morning when the streets are still in shadow but the building tops are catching the early sun. What a wonderful world!
Beautiful slice of sky through the buildings.
Gorgeous sky, Daryl! :)
Lovely shadowing that time of day. :)
that's the corner where i came up from the subway, right? (on the left) and you were standing across the street! gorgeous colours
What a great shot. I always love that time of the morning.
I like the darkness of the street before the light fills it! really nice shot :)
I love the buildings against the sky. Terrific shot.
Something so cinematic about NY Skies. You will have to be out and about more now Ming the Merciless has quit his NY daily.
Love the cloud formation. Warm colors!
Pretty clouds. It looks like your sky has to fight for a bit of space.
This a photo with feeling...I can sense being out there early morning...not much moving yet...a certain freshness in the air...possibilities loom...Do you always leave for work early...or perhaps you an insomnia? It's a super job, Daryl!
Awesome! I wanna live in a big city again!
This time of the morning is beautiful, especially during the Spring =)Love the clouds!
Lovely contrasting of the dark building and the light sky...wonderful sky watch post..have a great weekend. cheers.
The early morning quiet and light is very pretty Daryl. It must be very nice to be out and about in New York City at that time.
Look!Holly golightly getting out of a cab!Aloha

Great shot.Sydney - City and Suburbs
A delightful sky to me :)

Oh yes, right on the doorstep! Love the contrasts of our lives.
love the morning light! that glass of wine sure looks good ;)
One of my favorite streets...
I love the cotton candy clouds and how the sun is reflecting off the buildings!
I like the contrast between the brick of the building and the blue of the sky... those dabs of white clouds are the icing on the cake :-)Very cool capture !
Nice post and shot.
I love this. It captures one of those moments I adore when I visit your incredible city.
This shot makes NYC look quaint, not at all scary like I envision in my mind.
At least it wasn't raining....
I'd have to agree with Erin. Taken out of the context of your blog, I could believe this was my sky. Okay, okay... maybe the sky in Charlotte or Greensboro (because I'm pretty sure I'd recognize that scene as not-Raleigh.It's a stunner wherever it is.
