The color in the lights only enhance. I'm glad you can find rain fascinating at this time. I'm sure I wouldn't. Maybe I'd get used to it, but with so much sun, more than a couple of days starts to annoy me! I find YOUR rain fascinating!
love it. it's raining here too
I love the play of rain on light at night.
superbly composed as usual....looks like the beginning of a mystery movie!love it!
Make no apologies. This one's beautiful. Makes me wish for rain.
I love water also. No wonder. I love your pics too, forever so amazing.
I love it! There's no better photo than one that makes you want to be Right. There.
That is one wet evening. Better you than me dear.
How to make best use of the dreaded rain. Simply stunning for me.
I think we can stretch a point for a founder member... and it is a great shot.
I love the shot. The touch of color makes it perfect.
The splash of color emphasizes the monochrome, and nicely balances the white lines.
Wait. It rained last week?
Since you have had so much rain lately I am glad to see you made it your subject this week. Good eye.Joyce
Oh yes! This one is beautiful! I'm pretty sick of rain, but you've made it seem like a blessing.

A great picture, the rain the lightning!!! Just perfect!!hugs from Anne
the light and dark such a treat~
the ability to see beauty and art in anything/everything - love that about you
I don't think we would see the same effect in pure mono...I like it very much...:-)
I've always been intrigued by the rain and the way it falls, the patterns it makes, the trail it leaves; whether on the window, between the windshield wipers, down my face or in the road. I love the affect of the lights in your picture though....reminding me that it's not an all black or all white world at all!I love the monochrome pic of you too, Daryl! Bella :)
i like this shot...the bit of color makes it all the better :)
Don't apologize...this is super...the lights make the shot!
I second all the other comments: fantastic shot! Even the NYC rain is pretty as are the rain soaked streets!
Love it -- I agree about the little bit of color lights emphasizing the texture of the water on the street.
monochrome, sponochrome - this is just a fabulous shot!
very nice.you're forgiven :)
nice shot, actually just like the weather here is right now:-( But you caught that moment well. btw, for me the vessel in my photo is going... but that of course depends;-)Thanks for leaving a comment.
I love the splash of colour from the lights. :)
Something so magical about lights reflected in the rain. . .nicely done, my friend, as well as yesterday's wonderful Father's Day photos.
I like this..I can see why you did that-
Ego te absolvo. "Pure" or not, I love this. In fact, I love it so much, it made me think I might want to convert a similar shot (of mine obviously) to B&W just to see what it looks like. Inspiring!
I wouldnt apologise for not sticking to Monochrome on this. I was wondering about a similar shot today, so nice to see how to do it properly.I wanted to thank you for the comment on my blog. I welcome constructive comment and appreciate your view and perceptions.... I will answer it later, and would appreciate any more you have. I enjoy your photographs alot.
I wuv this....weally...
Great photo Daryl. Is it still raining? The rain was amazing...the day I left...planes queued on the runway..delays delays...I brought the rain home with me, it hasn't stopped since I arrived...very unseasonal for here. At least we arrived ON TIME! After all those delays!! Sorry we didn't get to meet up again before I left. Things got a little crazy with daughter and baby with the flu/cough. Thank the Lord for antibiotics, and then a birthday party etc!Baby took his first steps the day before his party, and clapped his hands on his real birthday! It was great to meet up Daryl...thanks for your hospitality showing me around the "streets where you live"!!(Awake early here with jet lag...catching up)!
That's a great picture!
I like to watch the rain - you captured the best of it! The light - the wet - the waves - like a mini storm!
Great shot and composition. I think it may have more 'oomph' if converted to b+w. I like it though, very much.
The streets of Seattle were looking like that yesterday! Nice shot.
Oh that's so enchanting. I'm glad you posted it even if it's not strictly monochrome. Close enough and I love that spot of light in the rain.
Gorgeous shot - raining or not! But the next time I'll do as you and try to find beauty in the rain....
Don't apologise - it was worth it.
That's just wonderful.. rain in the city.
