do you get enough leisure time?

This question was posed by David McMahon, when I read it I thought: he's been reading my mind!

Yesterday, Saturday, was totally a ME Day. I beautified: indulged my body & soul from a massage at 11 to a mani/pedi at 3 with a haircut (quite nice, if I do say so)in between, then I met a gal pal for lunner (what do you call an early dinner, late lunch?) before coming home to collapse alongside Husband on the couch.

I work all week, sounds dreary in comparison to my longing to just get up, grab the camera and go watch the day unfold; but my job isn't dreary or boring. I work for an media conglomerate spending my days online, not so horrible as it allows me to blog.

Real leisure time is still at a premium, confined to weekends and vacations which for me are almost always long weekends because Husband doesn't like travel and I don't like leaving him or the kits for long.

The next get-away that will allow me to totally escape is in April when I head out to San Francisco for one of my twice yearly gal pal getaways. There are 4 of us, sometimes 5 or 6 of us who leave our husbands/significant others at home to head off to spend playtime, leisure time somewhere fun.

The spring before Katrina changed New Orleans forever our gaggle of gals was there

We've been to San Antonio

And Cape May

Nashville

And New York City

So .. tell me: Do you get enough leisure time?
