breakfast breasts butts brunch

really

so
is a yearly event
when
buildings with architectural and/or cultural history
 are
open to public
viewing
visits

we
 my two friends and i
met at

breakfast
before
we walked to
the renee & chaim gross foundation
chaim gross
 was an artist
 whose home and studio

now
 house a museum
 of
his art and the art of his friends and contemporaries

 this was his studio

this was their living room

from there we walked uptown
stopping to watch
this breast cancer walk

up through a street fair
past nyu's alumni/parents weekend
peeks into lots of interesting stores
to

an 1846 gothic revival masterpiece
inside and out
gorgeous

we continued to walk uptown
through
washington square park
and
madison square park
past
 a demonstration
 about
butts
no really
it was about
butts

i have no idea
 what or why
but
 no pun intended
 in
nyc
protesters rarely need a real reason
and the writing on their signs was
yup
on the back of the signs

we continued our walk
to
the masonic hall
which spans 22-23 streets

that chandelier
is made of sterling silver
the architecture
the detailing
the ceiling and walls
of
the public rooms was amazing

we
hopped a cab to our last stop
that had a sun roof!

the four seasons restaurant
its about to close
its midtown location
and
move downtown

the big question is

will they be bringing the famous murals

after we took many photos
we walked literally 'round the block to
the brasserie
for brunch

all in all a really interesting day
spent with two really terrific women
what could be more fun?
