being a taphophile and other things
it was a
busy weekend
two of my Cincinnati friends visited
Phillip(e)
is an historian and docent trainer
at
Cincinnati's
glorious
which is quite the mouthful
anyway
he
and
Mary
another friend and docent at Spring Grove
had
said
they
would like to visit
coincidentally
I'd recently
spoken
with
Brian Sahd
Woodlawn's Executive Director
Kismet
we got to Woodlawn
after an adventure on the aptly named Woodlawn Jerome #4 train
Mary wondered how far we were from Vermont
nope
not Vermont
the very end of the Bronx
timing is everything
Brian had just returned to his office
Brian had just returned to his office
after introductions discovered Phil knows Susan Olsen,
the Director of Historican Services,
we got the royal treatment
Susan personally escorted us
on
what was
just
going to be
a quick look at a mausoleum
she not only
did
that
she opened
another
so I could get shots of the
Tiffany windows
this carving on the floor
she spent well over an hour with us
Woodlawn
covers
400 acres
we,
I,
am
so
grateful
she
also
drove us to the subway station
Next up
on the agenda
a walk
along
The High Line
a visit to the Green Flea
Columbus Avenue put its fluff on
silly us doing that into the window shot
lots of walking
made
lots of eating
okay
brunch
at
between
walking
The High Line
and
wandering
the
Green Flea
made
indulging
hipstamatic app jimmy lens dreamcanvas film no flash
in
french toast
with
syrup
fruit
and
eggs
less guilt inducing
We also beautified™ at Polished
shopped at Zabars
ate
Indian food
coffee at McDonald's
a first for me
a whole lotta
photos
taken
will be
shared
a way to say thanks for coming along!
