three on thursday - architecturally diverse

New York City
is filled
with
amazingly
tall and short buildings
apartment buildings
office buildings
glass
brick
new
old
and
almost never
two alike
some
anonymous
some
named

that's the Alexandria
on the right

these architecturally diverse buildings
stand on the westside
of
Broadway
between 70th and 72nd Streets

  4. I just don't believe it, I miss a post and it's your birthday..Happy, happy belated birthday Daryl, I hope your celebrations were exactly as you wanted them to be! The building in the middle above reminded me of the movie Alien, it's like it has another building emerging from it's centre!!

  5. Wish a few architects would drop their designs in our town. The light hits these buildings perfectly and they just glisten against that blue sky, Daryl. Very nice.

  9. This is a very nice photo. The bare trees add a lot and the light is just perfect.

  11. I've been watching the show "Selling New York" and love it. I'm with Diane...wish these architects would dabble in our town. Love the top of the Alexandria!
