That brings back memories of my younger years in RI....we would press the leaves, then paint them. Can't remember what the heck we did after that.
so pretty these Autumn colors. Nice capture Daryl.
The leaves this year are so spectacular but after a certain stage they start looking like something which needs to be raked up.But meanwhile so beautiful.
Season comes, Season goes.
Love the colors. I would probably walk all over the leaves and listen to them crunch beneath my feet.
Only leaves can look this good in death.
Happy Holidays and have a great Wordless Wednesday!http://www.momspective.com/chewy-chomp/
The light on the leaves gives this image such a warm feeling.
Love all that bronze!
Wonderful seasonal pic and you placed those leaves just right!
Such a pretty time of the year! I am so jealous of everyone up north who get to experience this fall time!
Love the fallen leaves. Happy WWPlease come vote your favorite for my WW. Se you there, Link is in my name.
Even dry fallen leaves can look so beautiful.
I like the way the sun shines on these and enhances their colorscongrats on POTW over at Hil's place'Waiting' certainly deserved it
...all the leaves are brown...and the sky is grey...
Could be at the side of my pond...the leaves are coming down faster than ever...the leaf mulcher is having a hard time keeping up with the supply!Sandi
Cool patterns... like a kaleidoscope or something.Incidentally, I wanted to invite you and your following to a party going on at Casa Mojo today.
Arent leaves wonderful??In someone else's yard!Love this shot!<><
Nice colors, and a slightly melancholy feel...
Great shot. The leaves look so clean and newly fallen. By that I mean they don't have the brittle dusty look they sometimes get.
Looks like it's the last round of autumn leaves.I just wrapped up my visit to NYC. It was actually quite warm (and non-winter-like) for late November.Today's WW is another picture from the trip.
Such beautiful colours Daryl!
Mike Bloomberg needs to get out there with his rake....
Gorgeous colors. Love this photo!
Love the jumbled leaves found in the city.
so much leaves have fallen...it's everywherehappy WW!http://jifphotojournal.blogspot.com/2009/11/wordless-wednesday-waiting.html
We don't have any of those at all. Not an Oak tree to be found anywhere around here. Drats.
Don't you just love how oak leaves get that bronzed look after they fall? A beauty of a shot. :)
Leaves even look beautiful on a NYC gutter! Such beauty, right at our feet. You have such an eye for seeing beauty where so many of us fail to look. I love this shot. I love the sun, shining on them, making the colors stand out even more!!
Gorgeous--these last to go look so hardy.I loved your Monochrome Monday photo too!
Recent, or a while ago? Most of our leaves are long gone now, it seems. Nice photo, in any case. Never mind my nitpickery!
How do you do that? Take a photo of a pile of leaves and they illuminate from within? Just gorgeous. How I wish I could do what you do!Thank you so much for swinging by Casa Hice and leaving such a nice comment! It means the world to me and I appreciate your taking the time!♥ Alix
The light brings out all the various colors. I might be seeing things, but it looks like there is a droplet of water towards the lower right part of the photo. No matter what it is, it's interesting.
Nice picture Daryl! We have had so much wind lately, that there are not very many leaves around anymore!!
Another good shot Daryl. I have been so pleased to see some leaves left on the trees for me. So different to when I arrived in the Spring and the trees were totally bare!!Yes, the grandson walks all on his own, forwards, backwards..runs..talks..! Perpetual motion on legs. What a cutie pie. Not sure what we are doing on the weekend..sometimes on Sundays we are down that way for church...I am minding baby most mornings so my sil can get some work done. That's the theory. Hopefully it will work. So far so good!Getting over the jet lag slowly..waking early at 4am is a bit draining!
This is what my whole yard looked like one day after the yard guy had it all blown off! GRRRRV
I like the leaves!I would participate in Wordless Wednesday, But it mightn't work so well with a poetry blog!
Wordless? I'm sure I heard some of them say, "Leaf me alone!"Beautiful shot, Daryl!
I love these leaves. They are my favorite I think because they resist crumbling under pressure. They are like pages in an old book. beautiful.
love it! stuns you wordless!
City sidewalks, pretty sidewalks, dressed in holiday style.
I can almost hear the crackling of the leaves when you walk over them. How peaceful.
Autumn in New York is so pretty especially upstate. Before you know it the snow will be falling. Come to the south for a warm visit!Joyce
Still reminds me of that song.
Great "leaves" picture Daryl. The colors are so "fall".=)
They glimmer. Wonderful capture!
Wow. That is so pretty. A carpet of leaves!
