  1. He is not insane...he is eccentric.
And those aren't knick-knacks on my what-not shelves, they're objet d'art on my etagere.

Gustav and I are the epitome of class. Just sayin'. ;-)

  4. I hissed back at him, you know. We bonded. He TOTALLY knew I would bite him back, and I think he respected me for it.

    He'd still bite me, however.

  5. A watch goose is often far better than a watch dog. This guy looks very alert and ready for anything.

  14. Insane goose! Hahahaha... I've known a couple of those in my life, one who chased my nephew down the beach until the dog went after it and it flew into the water!

  15. a perfect name for this creature! - some neighbors down the road had geese for awhile and when Jim and I would walk past their house and pond, the geese would come out and screech at us just like guard dogs!

  16. I keep threatening to get a Watch Goose for our gate. Gustav is mighty handsome.
I did a 'waiting, patiently' over at my blog, in total rip off style from yours, but I could not resist...

  17. Do not let the cool demeanor fool you. This beast would rather chew on your kneecap than eat cracked corn.

Gustav will be played by Satan in the movie version of Blog Fest.

  19. It's always the quiet ones, didn't you know? The ones everyone says "seem so innocent". Then one day they get the bill. And it's a killer.

  20. What a lovely photo of an insane goose...I don't care what anybody says, I knows gooses can be insane...years ago we'd go fishing at Lake Texoma in Texas and a whole bunch of insane gooses would chase us all over the place and bite us if they caught us. I'd a shot the damn things if I could of...

  21. Yes, he looks so innocent...right up to the moment he starts nibbling on you! This is why geese make wonderful watch "dogs"!
