  3. Yup, been there, experienced that! Not in NY but you ought to try London on a rainy Thursday afternoon! It's probably some unspoken cab conspiracy. :)

  4. So where do they go when it rains. I'm thinking they are talking to the waiters at restaurants who disappear just when you want your check.

  6. Daryl, I agree with Diane! Murphy's Law. Always a cab when you don't need one, always pick the wrong line anywhere there's a queue; always rains on picnic day! Never fails!
