this was in consideration
for our holiday card
it ended up being scratched
in round 3
for
being not seasonal enough
we went with a snow shot of the park
taken several winters ago
the judges agreed
it was definitely seasonal
I just ate
this amazing cookie
looked like biscotti
with a semi soft chocolate with bits of nuts in the center
I have decided
I dont care
I am going to eat cookies
I love cookies
the last two weeks of December
is/are
my yearly cookie binge
I have pants
that are for this time of year
my closet
contains
many
pairs
of
pants
of
jeans
organized by color
with a sub section for leg zippers
there's the group
way to the back
the ones
that come out
now
because
they're higher rise
so no muffin top!
they are worn
with loose tops
if
I tucked
something
in
I am sure
the snap
would
unsnap
the zipper
would
unzip
on its own
I dont look at the scale til January 3
so pass me another cookie!
I'm laughing so hard!!such a very good idea! tis the season after all - this photo is just fabulous!! I can see why it was a contender!! the very best to you and toonman this holiday season, love, love j
ReplyDeleteSigh.. you're so slim. You'd better have my cookie.
ReplyDeleteHave a feeling you could eat as much as you want and not gain weight. After all, you practically walk as much as you work and sleep!
ReplyDeleteAfter losing 30 pounds this past year, I'm eating as much as I want this Christmas!
You two stay warm this weekend! Brrrrrrrr! xoxox
Tis the season for a little indulgence! Enjoy your cookies:)
ReplyDeleteRemember chocolate is a healthy treat -
Snowing here this morning
Mmmm... cookies :).
ReplyDeleteIn pipeline engineering terms I want to avoid exceeding 100% SMYS of my jeans ("Specified Minimum Yield Stress")
ReplyDeleteOh yes, stretchy jeans and cookies... me too!
ReplyDeleteAs healthy as I try to be most of the year, I too scrub that idea in December. I adore cookies and am not going to say no to them at Christmas parties we attend..... Just not happening.
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting to bake something for the holiday season, but have been talking myself out of it. I guess I should at least make one batch of cookies....or fudge....or something.
ReplyDeletethose leaves just had me thiking of yard clean up..again...but "this amazing cookie looked like biscotti.. with a semi soft chocolate.. with bits of nuts in the center.." that got my attention.
ReplyDeleteYou crack me up.
ReplyDeleteHa ha! I'm a candy eater, but that's gone now. I bought all kinds to put in the Christmas stockings I always send our grown sons, and since both will be in Brooklyn this year, I packed a box full. They aren't really candy-eaters, but I put in three big packages of beef jerky. They'll love that! My daily exercise of the 2-mile walking video is on hiatus, but I know I can't put it off too long!
ReplyDeleteYou are too funny, and I am so glad to know that I am not the only with with an organized clothes/closet obsession!!!
ReplyDeleteTis' the season to ENJOY!!
xo.
P.S. Love this photo. Wonderful composition!
I'm with you on no scales until January. ;)
ReplyDeleteYou make me laugh! Eat away, my friend. I will live vicariously through you!
ReplyDeletexo
I'm mentally passing you an unbelievably tasty cookie, just your favorite kind. Can you see it? Yum!!!!
ReplyDeleteDaryl, blather, blather, blather! Blather on! Send the cookies!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you, cookies, goodies, eggnog, love it all!
Elastic waist..?? Gah!
ReplyDeletewhere is it again where they appreciate Rubanesque women?
I loved your card--thank you.
ReplyDeleteDeck the halls with rows of biscotti,
fa la la la la, la la, la, la.
'Tis the season to be naughty,
fa la la la la, la la, la, la.
I can see why this was in card consideration. I love it for a lot of reasons. Yeah, I just don't worry about food during the end of December -- what's the point when it's time to celebrate? Happy, happy holidays to you.
ReplyDeleteOh I hear you about the cookie thing, except for me its trifle, I don't know why but Christmas seems to produce trifle galore, cream custard..yum but like you from the 1st Jan, it's going to be 'my body is a temple' again haha!
ReplyDeleteThat's my philosophy towards holiday eating too...for these two weeks I celebrate without guilt...
ReplyDeleteYay cookies!! I love them so. xo
