i love neon

I love neon
 Been
collecting snaps
of
neon signs
 in
windows
 for a few months

these
seem to relate
to
 one another
 in
 a way
 that
 makes
 me
 smile

I hope you are enjoying the long weekend
me?
I am going to get some photos
I hope
of a
tug boat race
down
the Hudson

I'll show you tomorrow
if they're any good
 meanwhile
go have a good time
get out and enjoy

  1. I've always been fascinated by neon signs. There's something about the color, lights and design that's always captivated me.

  3. Great shots! I love the Sniff one... although maybe not so much considering the feet themes in the other two.

  4. I hated the orthopedic shoes I wore as a kid to correct 'weak ankles'.... They were so ugly. A sign like this might have cheered me up.

  7. Cool. Tug boat races! And I also enjoy some neon signs. Today I went to the movie theatre with a friend, then to a nearby Starbucks. It was raining and perfect for that. We saw Hope Springs. A little slow but I love Meryl and Tommy Lee. Sweetest part of the movie? Afterward - coming out of the theatre and we were the last two to leave, slowed down by the couple ahead of us who appeared to be in their 90's. Adorable. Really.

  8. Nice little 'pieds' collage Daryl, I can just imagine some of the big city neon around NY would be amazing to see.

  13. Trivia for the day (heard on a repeat of Jeopardy yesterday): Neon is the only element in the periodic table, spelled with four letters, that is not a solid at room temperature.

I'm sure you'll find that tidbit useful in your life ahead.
