this that and more

so many things racing through my head
thanks to Hilary
 I can now leave myself
 voice reminders
 vs
written ones
 lets see if that helps
 and
 thank you
to
Jeanne
who posted this just for me

this morning
I was settled in on the #1 local
reading

by the way
if you're looking for a good book
character driven
 I highly recommend
The Imperfectionists by Tom Rachman
however
that isnt what I am reading
now
now
I immersed in
Kate Atkinson's
When Will There Be Good News
its the 3rd in a series
about a former cop, former PI
Jackson Brody

anyway
seconds
after I got on the subway
 the conductor
did the
 open
 close
open
close
of the doors
 asking riders
 to
let the doors go

well
no one was holding them
apparently
 the doors
 to the last car
the car
 I was in
 were not closing
 properly
so
the train sat in the station
and
 I sat down

excuse me gentlemen
 I said
 to the two men
 who were taking up
 3 seats
between them
one actually
 now
had to fold
 his
newspaper
vs
holding it
W    I    D    E
open

suddenly the doors open
into the car
 step two caped,
no
 they werent wearing capes
they did have on mesh vests
 with
BIG red lettered
MTA
 on the back
both
 toting
 huge backpacks
wearing goggles
 and
wielding oversize keys
flashlights
 and
a gizmo
 used to scrape
something out of the
 'track'
the door moves on

we'll be moving momentarily

we'll likely be skipping 72nd St

we didnt

but
we did skip 50th
going
from 59th to 42nd
its amazing
how just a few minutes
 in the morning changes things
now
 the station was packed
people walking in every direction
very few seem to have ever heard of
 staying to your right

Anyway
 this isnt the post
I intended
I am still working out
what the key words
 (aside from 'cycles' and 'knuckles')
were to remind me to write about

 for staying with me
 til the doors closed
 and
we got underway
 I leave you with
this

have a great weekend
and
seriously
thanks for coming along!
