  2. Okay, let me give you an example,
    1. open paint can.
    2. dip brush in paint.
    3. put brush on wall.

    couldn't be easier huh? :)

  3. I just did a toon re NOT following instructions. Sometimes it really doesn't pay to bother reading them. I think others agree, because I got a couple of cute replies from other toonists.

  4. Heh. I made the same suggestion.

But Ray, be fair now... Daryl told me she's actually read parts of the manual for the new camera.

(Oh... sorry... was I not supposed to let that secret out? Oops... my bad.)

  5. PS: How come it's silly to read directions, but not to ask for directions? I mean there's got to be a connection there, right?

  6. I kinda like reading the manual. They're sort of steamy and exciting.

  7. Reminds me of getting my camera and fiddling with it. My wife says,"Why don't you read the book." To which I replied, "It came with a book?"

  8. I have to get to a point where I've exhausted all my limited knowledge of the new equipment before even REALIZING there's a manual. And reading the manual is better than asking my Hunny to help me. The manual has far more patience.

  9. OK so we purchased the Nikon D60 in Dec. Husband reads the book and took a class. Me, I wing it by playing with all the gizmo dials until I get what I want:) I am contemplating a class this Fall just so I do not have to read the manual:)

  15. Instruction books confuse me even more. Google is great; children (or friends)even better. And, btw, who remembers where the instruction book is anyway?

  16. Freekin' manuals....so often they confuse more than help due to the awful English translation!!

  21. If only... they never read directions, anyway. They would screw it up and we'd have to take it somewhere to fix it!

  22. So cute. You mean you haven't memorized the manual yet! Omigod! How can you take pictures. What do you do when you need to change the white balance, the shutter speed, the flash setting?

Boy, you're playing with fire, kiddo!

    Or something like that!
